On June 19, the international seminar on modernization of grass-roots governance and rural revitalization, sponsored by Anhui University of Finance and Economics and hosted by the School of Finance and Public Administration, was successfully held in Bengbu, Anhui Province. Experts and scholars from over 60 universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Professor Chu Deyin, the president of the School of Finance and Public Administration of AUFE. Professor Zhou Jialai, vice president of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, and Professor Wen Meirong, editor in chief of the magazine Administrative Tribune, delivered speeches on behalf of the organizers and the journal.

        The theme of this seminar was focused on innovation of grass-roots governance, agriculture and rural modernization. Discussions over the strategy of rural revitalization under the guidance of Party, the reform of rural collective property right system, the innovation of rural revitalization system and mechanism, and the construction of rural civilization were conducted. This seminar provided theoretical reference and empirical thinking on the modernization of grass-roots governance and rural revitalization, which facilitates the building of a modern socialist country in an all-round way and promotes the progress of the second centennial goal.
